PIANO TECHNICIANS GUILD  ( PTG )

The mission of the Piano Technicians Guild is to promote the highest possible standards of piano service by providing members with opportunities for professional development, by recognizing technical competence through examinations and by advancing the interests of its members.

REGISTERED PIANO TECHNICIAN ( RPT )

Attained through testing in three areas:

  1. General piano knowledge (written test)
  2. Tuning (including ear tuning)
  3. Hands on technical skill ( repairs & adjustments)

Upon success in the above testing, the technician may use the logos to the left and the designatory letters RPT. Many Registered Piano Technicians will continue their personal development and knowledge in various areas of piano technology.

Pianos In Florida

Pianos that live in Florida can have a fairly good environment. Other than regular maintenance like tuning, regulation, lubrication and such, there are other things to take into consideration to ensure longer life for your piano.
